A Message From Our Founder
As a medical student, I’ve experienced firsthand the gaps in our education—missing pieces in professional development, navigating the healthcare system, and seeing leadership that reflects the diversity of our patients. These gaps are frustrating and limiting, especially as a Black, first generation medical student. They impact not only our success but also the care we provide.
APEx was created to bridge these divides and create a space where schools, ideas, and health sectors intersect. Through comprehensive education, collaboration, and a commitment to diverse leadership, APEx empowers future physicians to excel, innovate, and drive meaningful change.

To facilitate the intersectionality of business and medicine, identities, and institutions to help aspiring physician leaders execute their passion. As a student-run non-profit organization, APEx is dedicated to cultivating a new, diverse generation of healthcare leaders by introducing varied career paths, fostering connections, and encouraging continuous learning.
